Why?

Life is filled with struggle. Victory of any size or significance can only be obtained through some amount of struggle. This holds true for every area and aspect of life. By being deliberate, intentional and curious, by pursuing simplicity and balance, and by striving to age gracefully, struggle will lead to victory. When we seek to “make the most of every opportunity,” and deliberately choose to “understand what the Lord wants us to do,” (Eph. 5:15-17) we will find that our struggle in every area of life will lead us to grace-filled victories. This does not mean we will always be successful in man’s eyes, but it does mean we will grow and find that we are becoming more like Christ.

This site takes everyday life moments and events and looks at them through the struggle to victory lense. God does not exist only in the big events and decisions of life; He is present and active even in the small details of our lives. The more we look for Him, the more we will see Him, and this is the main drive behind this blog.

My prayer is that this blog will help you to see God in every aspect of your life down to the smallest detail. I pray that my struggles will connect with your struggles, and that the Holy Spirit will use that connection to make Christ more real in both of our lives.

Another key aspect that ties this blog neatly together is that small changes add up to make a big difference. Never forget that the little changes made are stepping stones to significant growth. Our struggles are moved along by these changes, which add up to create our victories.
