Cry Out
Whatever your need, cry out to God. He will HELP you.
Hear – “Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help.” (Psalm 86:1)
Establish – “He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” (Psalm 40:2)
Lead – “Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by any evil.” (Psalm 119:133)
Protect – “Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.” (Psalm 16:1)
With this HELP, he’ll also change you. He establishes, lifts, and protects by moving you toward holiness. This progress toward perfection is how God helps you.
He doesn’t always simply remove problems and obstacles. He often refines you by leading you sometimes through and sometimes around them.
This is the HELP he offers. HELP with hope. HELP that leaves behind what you were and leads you to what he knows you can become sanctified (i.e., made holy).
