Nourishment

“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink – even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk – it’s all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul!” (Isaiah 55:1-2)

Whatever nourishment you need – physical, spiritual, mental, or social – the Lord can provide it. There’s no cost. He simply promises to give you soul food to strengthen you. Your role? Listen. Seek. Turn.

Listen

“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen!” (Isaiah 55:3)

Your soul is at stake here, and the Lord wants to bind you into eternity. Because of that desire, he gives abundant mercy and unfailing love. He brings glory to the obedient, so tune your ears to his instructions.

Seek

“Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.” (Isaiah 55:6)

One day, this opportunity will end. Today is the day to turn from wrong and to no longer even think about doing wrong.

Turn

“Let the people turn from their wicked deeds. Let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)

That’s all it takes. Listen to what he’s saying, seek him while he is near, and turn toward him. When you do, his mercy will overflow in your life. He will forgive and restore in abundance.
